As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I am passionate about the work I do and I am committed to assisting you in improving your mental health. I am also a provider that will be direct with my patients, ensuring that plain-speaking, honest conversation leads to open lines of communication. My primary role is a prescriber of psychiatric medications, however, before discussing a potential medication regimen that you may benefit from, I like to engage in discussions about your life, your past history, your current situation, and your goals. Please note, I do not prescribe controlled substances.

I specialize in mood disorders, such as depression and anxiety. I am also a Certified Addictions Advanced Practice Nurse to assist you with substance use disorders and the co-occurring mood disorder you may be experiencing.

I am very conservative in my prescribing practices, tending to look with a critical eye at prescription history, and prefer to achieve your highest level of health with the least amount of medication. I am an advocate of counseling in addition to medication and strongly encourage my clients to utilize all available support systems.
